SPRL Undertakes Unique Holi Celebrations with Flowers and Dhol

Pathredi : Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited (SPRL) organized a unique Holi celebration at its Pathredi plant on March 4. The event was blessed by the presence of the SDM Tijara, Suresh Yadav, who was invited as the chief guest for the occasion. The celebrations started in the afternoon at 2 PM, with Dhol play starting from the main gate with much fanfare. The Dhol then moved from department to department collecting all the employees to move to the venue of the event.

To make the event unique, SPRL used flower petals to play Holi and celebrate instead of colours. Employees threw flower petals at each other and enjoyed the celebrations thoroughly. The myriad colours of the flower petals spread across the venue truly made this a very colourful Holi celebration, while also keeping it natural, without the use of any colours. The workmen and their children put up entertaining shows for the pleasure of the entire gathering including a skit and recital of Holi songs – Raas Leela.

Speaking at the occasion, Devendra Mishra, Executive Director, SPRL said, “Holi is a festival of colours and we celebrated it in a unique manner with flower petals. It is part of our effort in line with Swach Bharat as it helped us to keep the campus clean.”

Also present at the occasion, Rajeev Sethi, Advisor said, “The program was developed for the employees to enjoy this important festival of India. We are also grateful to Yadav, SDM Tijara to grace the occasion with his presence.”

Awards were given to the employees and children who put up the entertaining shows, which were enjoyed by the entire audience. The event closed with a vote of thanks by the Executive Director.
