Apple TV price gets cheaper in India, now available @ Rs 5900
New Delhi : Apple TV has announced the big cuts of Rs. 2000 in prices of it's TV in indian market, the device which was previously being sold for Rs 7900 will now be offered at Rs 5900. You can get it for even lower if you go to Snapdeal which has it up for grabs at Rs 5691.
Launched in India in February 2013 for Rs 8,295, the Apple TV is getting an almost Rs 2,300 price slash. Apple TV is a tiny box that connects to the television via the HDMI port and adds features like iTunes Store and the ability to beam content stored in iOS devices to the TV using AirPlay.
Additionally, you can also stream content from sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Bloomberg TV, Dailymotion, Qello concerts, WSJ Live, Flickr, among others. At its Apple Watch launch event, the company also announced its partnership with HBO Now.
To be able to stream content, users are required to make sure that the Apple TV and their iOS devices are connected to the same wireless network.
The media streamer competes with the likes of Google Chromecast, which is available at nearly half of its price, and offers several features such as web-browser mirroring which isn’t available on the Apple TV.
